We value the opportunity to love and care for your child as we teach Biblical principles and conduct age appropriate, fun activities.
Reservations and cancellations are strongly encouraged so we can ensure our children’s safety and provision as well as efficiently manage our budget. Childcare reservations should be made 7 days prior to an event. When making a reservation, please supply your name, contact number, your child’s name, child’s full date of birth as well as the date and time of the event. If your child is unable to attend an event you have reservations for, please cancel their reservation as soon as possible. Reservations may be made or cancelled by calling the 1st Act office at 817.267.3313 x401 or by emailing .
When you enter the 1st Act area you will need to check in at the front desk. You will sign-in your child, leave a number where you can be reached if your child needs you (or check out a pager), and pick up a name tag for your child as well as his or her room assignment. As you drop off your child in the classroom, you will sign his or her name on the sheet by the door and you should inform the teachers of any special needs, allergies, or other important information about your child. Children will be accepted in childcare as early as 15 minutes before an event begins and should be picked up no later than 15 minutes following the event’s conclusion.
At 1st Act we strive to maintain a safe and secure environment for all our children – both in the selection of teachers we entrust them to and in their protection from any outsiders in our building. Every 1st Act employee must complete and pass a background screen to ensure they are of good character and without criminal history. Our other major security tool is our name tag system. When you obtain your child’s name tag from the front desk you will notice it comes in two halves – both with the same number printed on both sides. One half will go on your child’s back and the other half goes with you. When you return you must present your half of the tag in order to pick up your child – this ensures that no one has the ability to pick them up without your consent and knowledge.
1st Act is unable to accept a child if he/she has had a fever in the last 24 hours or has diarrhea, a contagious rash, vomiting, heavy nasal bronchial congestion, croup, congestive cough or pink eye. We cannot give any medication. If your child becomes ill while in our care, we will contact you immediately.
Please bring a change of clothes for all preschoolers while they are at 1st Act. Depending on the age of your child, be sure to send disposable diapers, bottles, formula, pacifiers, sippy cups, etc. appropriate for the length of time your child will be spending with us. Be sure all items brought are labeled with your child’s name. Any item such as a blanket or animal that a child cannot live without will be accepted at 1st Act but toys or other items will not be permitted without permission of the director.
Thanks for partnering with us in 1st Act as we strive to provide your child with a fun and meaningful experience while in our care. We consider it an honor and a privilege to communicate the Father’s love to your little ones in a safe, secure environment.
