First Baptist Church of Euless

Guide

First Euless Insider Header
Dear Cody,

Well, if I'm present this Sunday, it means the Lord has brought us 20,000 miles (literally) through numerous airline strikes, pilot arguments about plane safety, wild car rides in drop-dead scary traffic, treks into cobra-infested jungle villages, abject poverty-stricken areas, and populations who had never had a visit from anyone outside their village-all that way, and home safely. Wow, do I appreciate your prayers. You have followed us through Facebook and I have never felt more prayed for, and that's saying a great deal! I have experienced the book of Acts all over again in many ways.

The Holy Spirit is hard at work in India, and He is hard at work in us. I don't know what we'll all be like when He is done, but it will remind us of the book of Acts-of that, I'm sure. I cannot help but be moved by the vision and dedication of the believers in India. For them, the gospel is paramount. There is little else to be concerned about but the salvation of people's souls. I'll be planning on picking right up with the Acts passage of the incredible community experienced in the New Testament church. May that same spirit and community grip us as we move forward into our future as the church "unleashed" by the Holy Spirit. Thank you for sending me to India. Thank you for praying as I went. Thank you for being the congregation that impacts a world.
