A. Church membership is a covenant relationship between individual Christians who share the same basic beliefs. These Christians take the step of church membership because they are deeply committed to supporting and encouraging one another as they grow spiritually, work together to share Christ with others, and seek to bless their local area and the world for God’s glory.
A. Yes. A church consists of a local group of people trusting in Jesus Christ as Lord. Much of the New Testament is composed of writings to specific churches. In addition, God’s Word provides specific qualifications for church leaders and gives essential instruction to individuals within the local church.
A. First, all members must have a personal relationship with God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Second, all prospective members must have been or be willing to submit to Believer’s Baptism. Believer’s Baptism is defined as baptism that takes place after salvation to symbolize what God has already done in the believer’s life. First Euless believes in water baptism by immersion, or fully in to the water. A staff minister will be glad to follow up with you and give you further information.
Third, all prospective members are expected to attend the Belong Membership Class. This class defines why membership to the church matters and the covenant that will exist between you and First Euless. In this class we talk about the three core aspects of our church mission and how you should be involved in each – Connect, Grow, Worship, and Reach. We will also discuss some basic disciplines that we believe all healthy Christians practice as faithful church members. The Belong Class is held once a month, typically on the third Sunday of every month from 9:15 to 12:00pm. Breakfast is provided as well as a DVD of that morning’s service.
A. There are many ways you can tell us that you would like to begin the membership process. You can visit one of our worship services and walk forward during the invitation of that service. You may also visit our Guest Reception room located in the main foyer of our Worship Center (click here for map). Our Guest Reception is open immediately following each worship service. Or, you can fill out the short information form by clicking the link below and a minister will contact you.
