Instrumental Area
Worship Services
The Band and Orchestra play for the morning worship services each week. We accompany the choir for special anthems and congregational singing, but also perform instrumental offertories and preludes independently. The music is very diverse, ranging from symphonic to commercial and jazz styles. Our members are also active in Sunday Connection classes, the youth group, and other areas of service to the church. Childcare is provided for all rehearsals and services.
Seasonal Productions
As seasonal music productions arise at First Euless, the Orchestra plays a vital role. These include Christmas, Easter, and God and Country Day. Members of the instrumental ministry also perform as a Big Band at community locations throughout the year.
Participation Requirements
There is no audition, but all players should have a minimum of three years experience on their instrument. The church does not provide wind or string instruments, so ensemble members must own or have access to their own instrument.
If you play one of these instruments, there is a place for you to serve in the worship ministry: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion, Piano, Harp, Acoustic Guitar, Synthesizer.
