In 2001, Lighthouse Indonesian Church (LIC) was formed as First Euless’ mission church. For nine years LIC served the Indonesian community in DFW and faithfully met on Saturday evening at First Euless’ Campus West Facility. As LIC grew so did other Asian nationalities that were added to the church. Furthermore, the International and Asian population surrounding First Euless and DFW in general has grown tremendously as well. Today 44% of the residents of North Texas are new Americans of diverse background. Realizing the needs to reach and serve these growing communities Pastor John Meador and his senior leadership invited Pastor Ed Kho and the LIC congregation to join First Euless. Therefore, in May 2011, LIC officially transitioned to be the Living Grace International Community (LGIC), a ministry of First Euless that reaches out to the International/Asian communities in the HEB and surrounding areas. Within a few months there are now 16 nations represented in LGIC. Recognizing the need for a worship service that is culturally relevant to the International/Asian communities, on April 8, 2012, LGIC launched its own worship service as First Euless International.
Supporting the overall mission of First Euless, FEI’s vision is to help everyone to:

Coming from a Chinese descent, Ed was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. However, his parents immigrated to Canada in 1974, where he ended up living most of his life and received his formal education. His youthful dream has always been to be a Naval Aviator. However, after receiving his commercial pilot license and graduating from University of Toronto in Biochemistry/Microbiology, the Lord made His calling clear to him. Nonetheless, it took an injury during his naval training before Ed totally surrendered to serve the Lord in full-time ministry. His passion now is to reach the nations with the Gospel and grace of Jesus Christ. He received his Master of Divinity from Canadian Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Regent University in Virginia. After ministering for 21 years at two churches, Ed now serves on staff at First Baptist Church Euless as the Minister to First Euless International. His focus is to reach and serve those living in the International/Asian communities of HEB and the surrounding areas.
