What is Kidventure?

KidVenture is a new ministry for kids grades 1-6 that is a partnership between the home and the church. Our purpose is to help kids on their adventure of becoming like Christ. In KidVenture, children learn the disciplines of a daily quiet time, memorizing scripture, and training to serve the Lord through a ministry team.

What: KidVenture
Who: For all 1st to 6th graders
When: Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm
Where: Check-in 2nd floor Kidopolis
Why: Kids learn the disciplines of a daily quiet time and memorizing scripture and get trained to serve the Lord through a ministry team.
Cost: (includes cost of Disciple Group handbook, t-shirt, Ministry Team supplies)
$15 - Grades (1-4)
$20 - Grades (5-6) Preteens

KidVenture Theme Verses:
14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

KidVenture's Disciple Groups are where kids gain a strong understanding of the scriptures as they practice the spiritual disciplines of a daily quiet time and weekly verse memorization. Each week they will meet with their disciple group leader for accountability and encouragement as they review what God has done in their lives the previous week and learn the Bible lesson.

KidVenture's Ministry Teams are where kids are trained and equipped to live out their faith by using their spiritual gifts in ministry. Ministry Teams may include storytelling, SPLAT (art), serve, media and worship. Several times during the year, kids will be able to serve with their ministry team on Sunday mornings in the church as well as during community outreach events.

KidVenture Weekly Schedule:

6:15pm Check in opens on 2nd Floor of Kidopolis
6:30pm Kids in Ministry Team for training
7:15pm Kids in Disciple Groups for accountability/encouragement.
8:00pm Kids picked up by parents in Disciple Group rooms

Volunteer in KidVenture: You can lead a disciple group each week where you review their daily quiet times, memory verses and share a Bible lesson that ties everything together. Or maybe you or someone you know has an affinity for storytelling, SPLAT (art), serve, media and worship and have been wondering if there is a way for God to use that in the Kingdom.
