What is Mentoring?
Two key focuses of Jesus’ ministry on earth were relationships and training. In three short years, He poured His time and energy into training up 12 men to become just like Him. While they were being trained, they were known as His disciples. At the end of their training, He told them to be disciple makers. By being obedient to His command, these disciple makers literally changed the world!
Part of the disciple-making process at Cross City follows the same model that Jesus used with His disciples. A disciple who wants to become like Jesus is matched with a disciple maker. Through the investment of time and energy into this one-on-one relationship, a disciple is trained to become more like Jesus and ultimately becomes a disciple maker. We call this Process Mentoring.

On August 21st at 12:30 pm in room 188 we will be hosting a luncheon. Come hear about our Mentoring One-on-One and Mentoring 2 Couples programs, and learn what the first step is to you becoming a mentor at Cross City.
One-on-One
Our One-on-One Mentoring is a one-year mission toward maturity in Christ. It is an intentional and disciplined process that is relational and replicable. Once you complete the journey, you will feel confident in your ability as a disciple-maker.

Mentors 2 Couples
A biblical marriage is a marriage that keeps Christ as the head of the relationship. Though we may know that to be true, it’s not always the easiest thing to live out. Sometimes we need someone to teach us, remind us, and demonstrate for us what that looks like.
Mentors 2 Couples is a 6-month journey that will help you and your spouse apply biblical principles to your marriage in a practical way. With measurable results, M2C will help restore and strengthen your marriage.
