Parent / Child Commitment
Once each quarter we hold a special parent / child commitment service. During this service you will have the opportunity to commit yourselves to bringing up your child(ren) in the discipline and instruction of our Lord. As a church family, we commit ourselves to share the responsibility of providing Christian nurturing to you and your children.
All parents with babies under the age of 2 years old are invited to be a part. If your baby participates in a Connection Class as a member or a guest, you will automatically receive Parent / Child Commitment sign-up information in the mail 3 weeks prior to the next commitment service. Purpose
- To provide an opportunity for parents to dedicate their baby and family to the lord. (Luke 2:22)
- To provide an opportunity for our church to commit to partner with our parents and assist them in laying a strong spiritual foundation for their child. (Deut. 6:6-7)
Policies
- Children two years of age and younger may particiapte in the Parent / Child Commitment Service.
- Only the parents and the "Encourager Moms" are allowed to stand with their child. Grandparents, siblings and other family members may sit anywhere in the Worship Center as they share in this special time.
- Because we ask the PARENTS to dedicate themselves to the Lord first, they must be married to be able to dedicate their child together. (Gen. 2:18, 21-24)

Parent / Child Commitment Breakfast
In honor of our parents and the grandparents, we will be hosting a breakfast to celebrate this special day with you. The breakfast will be during the 9:15 hour in the Fellowship Hall with the PCC Service immediately following in the 10:45 service. During this breakfast you will hear from several of our staff as they share the meaning of committing your child to the Lord. You will also receive a special gift that wil assist you in raising children in a Christian home. You can sign up for this breakfast on the PCC response card you will receive in the mail or one can be picked up at the first floor nursery Welcome Desk.
