New Sermon Series "Unleashed"

Join us beginning January 15 as Pastor John Meador leads us through the book of Acts on Sundays at 9:15 & 10:45am. The date was 33 A.D., just forty days after Jesus Christ rose from the dead. The place was an upper room in Jerusalem. The people in that room were confirmed Christ-followers and they did not know what they were going to do. When with them, Jesus told them to live powerful, victorious lives that were marked by the supernatural. He told them to do the impossible—take the gospel to the ends of the earth. How? That, they weren't sure of. All they knew was that they were told to wait, and so they waited and prayed. When the day of Pentecost had come, they suddenly realized exactly how they were to live supernaturally and how they were to change the world. That realization came when they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they knew every limitation they'd ever known was no match for the power of the Spirit in their lives. They were literally "unleashed" to follow Christ and reach the world. Today, the same power of the Holy Spirit resides in every true believer. We have far more power within us than we consume - and we attempt far less than we've been called to do. What if...what if we took the Bible literally, and what if we allowed that same power to infuse every one of us with His mighty power. What if we attempted great things for God because we knew we had great power from God? What if we were unleashed to be all that we're called to be? The message series, "Unleashed," is a challenge from the book of Acts to the church of Jesus Christ today. Be "unleashed" by His power.
